One of my least favourite things to do is mark. I love teaching and helping people learn things, but the process of assigning marks and adding it all up isn't a lot of fun for me. The marks are all due a few days after the end of the term, so it's usually a lot of marking to make sure that everything gets in on time and the marks are available right away.
Today they were due and it has been a lot of long days and a lot of marking. But now it's done and I feel a huge weight lifting from my shoulders. I still have another day in the office (I thought there were two days left, but I think that tomorrow is the last day now) preparing for next term, but it's fun to get ready for the learning that will happen next term and I also get to prepare a brand new course.
Now my mind is fairly blank, but I know that I will sleep well and today will be a nice, relaxing day.
